Owatrol Seasonite

SEASONITE® protects new wood, during the first year it is exposed to weather, from the harmful effects of sun and moisture. Treating new wood with SEASONITE® right away protects it from sun damage and keeps it looking new longer. SEASONITE® is a breathable product: excess water is drained away and moisture does not penetrate the wood. Unlike moisture protection products that have a “beading effect” but simply sit on top of the wood surface and thus wear off easily, SEASONITE® penetrates the wood and bonds to the wood fibers. In this way, the wood is stabilized and protected, reducing the amount of cracking, warping or expansion. SEASONITE® allows new wood to “weather” naturally without the adverse effects of weathering during the first year.

Applications

• For new wood outdoors only: soft woods, hard woods**, kiln-dried woods (such as cedar and red pine) during the first year they are exposed to the outdoors.
• Ideal for pressure-treated wood.
• Horizontal and vertical surfaces: terraces, facade paneling, shingles, garden fences and other outdoor wooden elements.
